Q- How do I order from Banana Gump?
A- It's easy to order from us. Simply email us with your choice of model, fabric and any other
specifics you need us to know. Include your name, mailing address and phone number along with
mode of payment and we'll get back to you with shipping charges, as well confirming your order.
Be certain your spam filter will let us through to you. If settings are too high or we're not added to
your list of approved addresses, we can't send the details requested.
Q- How can I find out the shipping prior to ordering?
A- We will happily supply you with the charge just by sending us your zip code
and model that you are interested in. We no longer ship via Fedex, who has
proven unreliable. We use UPS as well as DHL, and charge only the actual
shipping cost. There are no added "handling" fees applied.
Q- Does the seat cushion have a tabletop on it? How does that work?
A- Our ottomans offer you both the seat or tabletop by just flipping the cushion
area over. The lid area is free standing with small corner "stops" to ensure it
won't slip around while on the padded seat. Lift the lid off the storage base,
give a flip and set down your table, ready for snacks or games. The
conveniently placed handles come on all our models, although on larger
custom units we sometime place them differently for more convenience.
Q- I like your product, but want to match my existing furniture. Can I supply my own fabric?
A- Yes, absolutely. We will be more than happy to use your material as long as it's an
upholstery grade fabric at least 54" wide. At the time of your initial inquiry, we will give you
the amount of yardage needed to complete your piece. There will be no additional charge
for using your fabric, which is a departure from the norm. Many custom houses charge
extra when you supply your own fabric. We disagree with this policy and will continue to
offer this service up for free.
Q- I want to buy this as a gift. How long between ordering and shipment?
A- We ship completed units within 7 business days. Custom orders do take up to 10
business days. If there is a gifting emergency, we do try to accommodate this, but
please remember, shipping can take several additional days after we send them out.
Q- I need a different size than you offer. Is it possible to have one made to order?
A- We happily accept custom orders. Just email or call us with your needs and we'll get back
to you within one business day with a quote. Include your zip and we'll be certain to add the
shipping fee in our email back to you.
Q- The tabletop looks like wood. Is it? Can I get my choice of tones?
A- The tabletop is either a white laminate or a handpainted wood tone finish. It's not real wood,
rather a surface painted by a local artisan to give the impression of wood. This is coated with
several coats of polyurethane for long wearability.
We usually have standard tones, but if there is a special request, we do our best to have her paint
the tabletop to suit. Just please remember, it's not real wood but will be as close to it as we can
manage. If no choice is specified, we use our own judgement to match the look of the piece.
Q- I would love to give one of your ottomans as a gift but don't know which fabric to choose. Is
there a way of solving this problem?
A-Definitely yes. We offer gift certificates for all standard model units. We can send the certificate to
you or directly to the recipient with a personalized note addressed from you.
